KCC Silicone's Cosmetic-Grade Silicone Wins Award at Korea's Largest Global Cosmetic Ingredients Exhibition 2026-07-02

- Cosmetic-grade silicone material earns Silver at the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Korea 2026
- SeraSense® RBS 12 spreads smoothly on skin during application and enhances adhesion and long-wear performance
- Award recognition validates KCC Silicone's cosmetic material technology on a global stage

KCC Silicone (President Liam Song) has demonstrated its high-performance silicone technology with a win at Korea's largest global cosmetic ingredients exhibition.

At the in-cosmetics Korea 2026 Awards, KCC Silicone's cosmetic-grade silicone material, SeraSense® RBS 12, received the Silver Award in the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award 2026, Functional Category.

Held July 1–3 at COEX in Seoul, in-cosmetics Korea has established itself as a global business platform for cosmetic ingredients, bringing together international companies, cosmetics brands, ODM/OEM manufacturers, and R&D professionals to share the latest ingredient technologies and market trends. Among its offerings, the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award recognizes recently launched ingredients by comprehensively evaluating their innovation, product performance, formulation applicability, and market potential.

At this year's event, KCC showcased its newly developed SeraSense® RBS 12 in the Innovation Zone — a dedicated exhibition space where participating companies present their most innovative and technically advanced products — and the ingredient's excellence was recognized with the award.

SeraSense® RBS 12 is a silicone material that spreads smoothly during application and, once applied, forms a thin, even film on the skin that enhances both adhesion and longevity. It is versatile enough to be used across a range of cosmetic formulations, including color cosmetics, sun care, and skin care.

The material was developed using KCC Silicone's proprietary resin blend technology. It combines a texture that shifts smoothly during use with excellent film-forming performance, elevating both the tactile experience consumers feel and the functional performance of the product itself.
In today's cosmetics market, consumer-perceived qualities — such as spreadability, adhesion, and longevity — have become just as critical a competitive factor as product efficacy itself. As a result, cosmetic ingredients are increasingly expected to do more than deliver basic function; they must also elevate formulation quality and overall user experience.

"SeraSense® RBS 12 was developed to enhance both the sensory experience and the formulation performance of cosmetics at the same time," said a KCC Silicone representative. "Beyond this award-winning product, KCC Silicone offers a wide range of functional ingredients, and we will continue to introduce high-performance silicone materials that meaningfully support our clients in developing differentiated products."

Meanwhile, at this year's exhibition, KCC Silicone also introduced its broader lineup of functional silicone materials for diverse cosmetic formulations, drawing strong interest from exhibitors and industry attendees. The lineup included: SeraSense®, which delivers a luxurious sensory feel while strengthening adhesion and longevity; SeraSoft®, specialized for a soft, skin-hugging feel and stable formulation performance; SeraSilk®, designed for a light, powdery finish; and SeraSnow®, suited for a soft, velvety texture.
