LSR

Our liquid silicone rubber has excellent strength and transparency and registers excellent injection moldability, so it is applied to various baby products and household products. Solid silicone rubber is used in various kitchen products due to its excellent thermal stability, mechanical properties, and molding workability. Silicones are used in everyday life and throughout the industry, and the scope of application is gradually expanding.

General-Purpose Liquid Silicone
General-purpose liquid silicone is a highly heat-resistant product that can withstand heat up to 200℃. In addition, it is an eco-friendly product that does not generate by-products because it uses a small amount of platinum catalyst for additional curing. Due to these characteristics, LSR is widely used in baby nipples, swimming bands, medical hoses, mouth pieces, etc.

For Self-Bonding
Self-bonding liquid silicone rubber (LSR) provides primer-free adhesion to a variety of substrates. Double injection between plastic and silicone is possible, contributing to productivity improvement.

Silopren™ Self Bonding Silicones for Consumer Goods

    SL80XX Series

When molding baby products with general liquid silicone, a separate post-curing process is required to meet the volatile content of 0.5% or less, which leads to increased power costs, labor costs, and decreased productivity. To solve this problem, KCC Silicone developed the SL80XX series and released the LSR that satisfies the EN 14350-2 standard without post-curing.

Advantages
  • - Low volatiles content
  • - Save time and energy because there is no post-curing process
  • - Excellent transparency and mechanical properties
