KCC Silicone has achieved first place for the 14th year in a row in the sealant (silicone) category at the Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) award ceremony held at the Lotte Hotel on Oct 28th, 2025. This honor is attributable to KCC Silicone’s relentless quality innovation and technology development on top of its brand awareness as KORE-SEAL, a leading sealant company in Korea. Notably, even after being inducted into the “KS-QEI Hall of Fame” for securing the top position for ten consecutive years, KCC Silicone has continued to make utmost efforts and investment in technology development, which led to the remarkable accomplishment of a first-place award for 14 consecutive years.

1. What is KS-QEI?

The KS-QEI is a quality measurement model jointly developed by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) and the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM), reflecting customer satisfaction on products (goods and services) and product characteristics. It serves as the only comprehensive quality satisfaction index in Korea, evaluating quality excellence and satisfaction from consumers and experts who have direct experience with the company's products.

2. How was the 2025 KS-QEI survey carried out?

KS-QEI makes a comprehensive appraisal of products and services, encompassing application quality which includes performance, reliability, durability, usability, safety and accessibility as well as emotional quality which includes image, awareness and innovativeness. This model analyzes the emotional aspect of customers as they use products or services in addition to the fundamental quality. Marking the 21st anniversary, KS-QEI was carried out against consumers and experts who have direct experience with products (or services) of 392 companies in 123 industries. A total of 78,400 respondents participated in either an online or in-person survey from last June to early September.
