Creating value from silicone

KCC Silicone will participate in the Asia-Pacific International Tape and Film Expo (APFE2025), to be held in Shanghai, China, from June 17 to 19, 2025. Recognized as the largest exhibition in the tape and film industry in Asia, this marks KCC Silicone’s second consecutive appearance at the event. The company plans to aggressively expand its presence in the Chinese market by introducing new eco-friendly and high-performance products.

At this exhibition, KCC Silicone will focus on key upcoming products such as Bio PSA, solvent-free high-adhesion PSA, and solvent-free fluorosilicone release coatings. The company aims to actively promote its proprietary technologies and differentiated product competitiveness to local customers.
In particular, Bio PSA (biocompatible silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive) is a skin-friendly product designed to minimize irritation, making it ideal for sensitive skin applications such as scar care patches and medical bandages. Compared to conventional organic adhesives, it has a lower environmental impact and is seeing steadily increasing demand in the market for skin-contact medical products.

The solvent-free high-tack silicone PSA is an eco-friendly product formulated without BTX (Benzene, Toluene, Xylene), offering both environmental safety and improved ease of handling by eliminating the use of organic solvents. With strong adhesion and adjustable coating thickness, it is well-suited for the production of various protective films and tapes, and demonstrates excellent processability, particularly in post-coating operations.

Additionally, KCC Silicone will unveil a solvent-free fluorosilicone release coating, further expanding its eco-friendly silicone adhesive portfolio in response to tightening global environmental regulations.

Through its participation in APFE2025, KCC Silicone aims to enhance its reputation for technological competitiveness in the silicone adhesive sector and to create new business opportunities in China and other global markets.
