Creating value from silicone

KCC Silicone will participate in ‘PCHi 2025,’ China’s largest personal care ingredients exhibition, which will be held in Guangzhou from February 19 to 21, 2025.

PCHi is a large-scale cosmetics raw materials exhibition held alternately in Shanghai and Guangzhou each year. At this year's exhibition in Guangzhou, KCC Silicone will actively promote new and strategic products to Chinese customers.

As a new product for 2025, the company will introduce SeraSense AG 21.
SeraSense AG 21 (Bis-C16-18 Alkyl Glyceryl Undecyl Dimethicone) is a silicone fluid modified with a pendant-type glyceryl undecyl group, offering both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. It enhances pigment dispersion in cosmetic formulations, adds a subtle gloss, and helps maintain moisture and color vibrancy.

As for strategic products, KCC Silicone will focus on promoting SeraSilk PDA 90, a silica-blended silicone gel product that does not fall under the microplastic category, and SeraShine EM QSE, a polyquaternium-10 emulsion blend.

SeraSilk PDA 90 (Dimethicone, Silica, Polysilicone-11) is a specialty product created using KCC Silicone’s proprietary technology. It blends naturally derived spherical silica powder, which is not classified as a microplastic, with amorphous silicone gel, rather than particle-shaped components. This unique combination provides a soft-focus effect, a powdery and silky finish characteristic of spherical silica, and a smooth, moisturizing adherence.

SeraShine EM QSE (Amodimethicone, Polyquaternium-10, Trideceth-12, Cetrimonium Chloride) is a silicone emulsion incorporating both amodimethicone and polyquaternium-10—two representative conditioning agents widely used in hair care products. This formulation provides excellent conditioning effects on both wet and dry hair, helping to repair damaged hair, prevent static electricity, and control frizz.

In addition, KCC Silicone will promote its specialty products that have continued to gain customer recognition at various international exhibitions such as In-cosmetics and HPCi. These include the SPF-boosting products SeraSilk EL 30, EL 31, and SeraSoft SW 74, as well as the highly durable and flexible film-former SeraSense RBS 11. By showcasing these high-performance, technologically advanced specialty products, KCC Silicone aims to provide a diverse and in-depth introduction to its capabilities.

Through its participation in this exhibition, KCC Silicone seeks to actively promote its technological expertise and new products, strengthen its presence in the Chinese cosmetics market, and explore new business opportunities.
